I’ve had a few fitness coaches during my tennis career, but only one that really stood out and it was Matt. Apart from his extended knowledge in fitness and tennis, the first thing that struck me in his personality, was his rigour. He helped the group stayed focused and on task during training. Furthermore, he was a motivating figure for us, on and off court. He always pushed us mentally and physically.
I’m a professional tennis Player from Canada. I trained at the national tennis centre in Canada before becoming an Indiana Hoosier & playing NCAA Div 1 tennis. I competed worldwide and worked with many highly qualified strength and tennis coaches. When I came back home to chase my dream, I found one of the most qualified fitness coaches I could ask for. Matt not only has knowledge about the sport and what tennis players need in order to get better quickly, but he is extremely passionate and cares about his players as if they were his own family. When I think of Matt, I think about working smart and this famous quote : ‘’it’s not about how hard you get hit but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward’’.
Matt has contributed significantly to my daughter’s game improvement over the last 2 years. He has the ability to find great exercises specific to tennis. He also knows how to use them on different athletes depending on their needs.
